The Alexander House

Celebrated architect and Frank Lloyd Wright protege John Lautner designed this stunning mid-century modern home back in 1951. High on the list of Long Beach's most beautiful homes, the Alexander House presented a design challenge: updating the home without altering the architect’s original vision.

With tongue and groove beams, wood and glass throughout, and a sunken living room, the renovations had to be in keeping with the mid-century style of the home while offering the owners additional functionality and modern conveniences.
